An early bureau bookcase in good condition, ready for the home or office.
Walnut top cornice over a single glazed door, with working lock and key.
The top section contains 2 adjustable shelves, there is a small slide out candle shelf just below the door.
The pull down flap of the bureau opens to reveal a newly fitted black leather inset writing surface, 7 stationary drawers and 5 pigeon holes. Below this is a further 2 short over 2 long drawers, beautifully cross-banded and of good quality solid oak dovetailed construction.
With brass handles and on bracket feet.
This item comes in 2 pieces for easy transportation.
