This fine English chest of drawers dates back to 1770. A lovely quality chest of small proportions, boasting a beautiful lighter colour and patina throughout. The rich mahogany timber is of good solid construction and is as strong today as it was when it was first made - a sure sign of quality.
There are 2 short over 3 long graduated drawers of solid pine dovetailed construction with figured mahogany and cock-beaded fronts. Brass oval plate handles were added later and it stands on bracket feet.
