A fine early 18th-century Queen Anne walnut chest on chest, presented in excellent condition with a rich, warm colour and an attractive, well-developed patina.
Constructed in two sections for ease of movement, this elegant tallboy combines refined proportions with excellent storage.
The upper section comprises three short drawers over three long graduated drawers, all with finely cross-banded fronts showcasing the natural figuring of the walnut. The drawers have brass swan-neck handles and are of quality dovetail construction.
The lower section features a useful brushing slide above a further three graduated drawers, all clean, smooth-running and functional.
Raised on shaped bracket feet, the piece is structurally sound and ready for immediate use.
